One of, if not, the most important duties of a parent is to educate
their children - to impart to them a sense of their own value system
which governs the way the Family functions and which prepares the
children to be an honoured member of a civilised society.
Parents do this - according to their conscience - in a multitude of
ways at home, especially in their own behaviour as a role model.
It has become the custom that parents also choose to send their
children to a School where the child will have the benefit of receiving
tuition from trained personnel with a special talent to impart
knowledge in specified academic subjects.
Schools exists to facilitate such parents. As with other third parties
- in line with the NANO principle which states that where there is No
Agreement No Involvement can take place - both parents in the Family
founded on Marriage must wish for their child to go to the same school
before the child can be lawfully admitted. The Constitution recognises
this Natural law in Article 42. 3. 1 where it states,
“ The State shall
not oblige parents in violation of their conscience and lawful
preference to send their children to schools established by the State,
or to any particular type of school designated by the State.”
In Law a school can only admit a child if it has the joint power and
authority of the Family unit and that comes from an agreement and joint
decision by both spouses.
Where a family decide to use the services of a school the Board of
Management and teachers in that school act "in loco parentis" and
literally are required to “occupy the place of the parents”
for each child whilst under their care for instruction in academic
subjects. The school never assumes any rights or responsibilities over
any child, but agrees to carry out the wishes of each Family.
In specified academic subjects the wishes of parents are simply that
their child is equiped by the school to understand concepts and be
shown how to problem-solve in an effort to become more numerate and
literate. This is regarded as a universal wish of parents and it is
accepted that, in this area of schooling, there is broad agreement.
If the school is to additionally take on the task of teaching our
children "values" - which are under the exclusive control of parents -
it is obviously vital that there is no clash or contradiction from the
school to the value system that the child has assimilated from their
Family at home.
Any deviation from the child's accepted home values will create turmoil
in the mind of the child and will necessarily lead to the child being
made to accept one set of values to the rejection of the other which
will ultimately lead to serious problems at home or at school with
authority. The evidence is that where this occurs the child's respect
for their parents is challenged and parental authority severely damaged.
This Report is an analysis of the Law of the Family - supported by
extensive citations from the High Court and Supreme Court - and is a
response to the many requests from parents where a school/Department of
Education is over-stepping their role. Many parents find it reassuring
when they discover through the Report that the Law fully supports their
position and are then able to stop the school/Departrment from doing
further harm.
THE LAW & GUIDELINES GOVERNING SPHE/RSE IN SCHOOLS
You can download
and read the Policy Guidelines and the three Circulars from
the Department of Education and Science referred to that specify how
SPHE/RSE must be
implemented lawfully. Note - all Circulars, such as these, must be made
available to all new parents if
the school wishes to teach an SPHE/RSE programme. Contact the NMCI if
the school have violated this directive.
Guidelines
from the Department of Education that must be adhered to produce a
lawful School Policy for RSE (Click here to download these Guidelines)
Note
that the implementaion of an SPHE/RSE programme requires a CONSENSUS
amongst all staff and members of
the Board of Management and especially ALL PARENTS. The drafting of an
SPHE/RSE policy must be repeated every academic year and must continue
until unanimity is achieved amongst ALL PARENTS and they are happy that
the policy is not in conflict with ANY values they teach their children
at home and that - if the school is operating under the ethos of the
Catholic Church - that any programmes conform with the teachings of "THE TRUTH AND MEANING OF HUMAN SEXUALITY - Guidelines for Education within the Family" issued by the Vatican and made available for you below.
These are very simple, comprehensive and candid guidelines
for parents and educators and there is no reason whatsoever why these
timeless guidelines are not implemented without need for further
editing at the request of parents, so reducing the inevitable conflict
and endless meetings of committees and parents, envisaged by the
Department of Education Guidelines. arguing over failed
liberal/permissive experiments in "sex education".

THE TRUTH AND MEANING OF HUMAN SEXUALITY
Guidelines for Education within the Family
THE PONTIFICAL COUNCIL FOR THE FAMILY
The Situation and the Problem
1.
Among the many difficulties parents encounter today, despite different
social contexts, one certainly stands out: giving children an adequate
preparation for adult life, particularly with regard to education in
the true meaning of sexuality. There are many reasons for this
difficulty and not all of them are new.
In the past, even when
the family did not provide specific sexual education, the general
culture was permeated by respect for fundamental values and hence
served to protect and maintain them. In the greater part of society,
both in developed and developing countries, the decline of traditional
models has left children deprived of consistent and positive guidance,
while parents find themselves unprepared to provide adequate answers.
This new context is made worse by what we observe: an eclipse of the
truth about man which, among other things, exerts pressure to reduce
sex to something commonplace. In this area, society and the mass media
most of the time provide depersonalized, recreational and often
pessimistic information. Moreover, this information does not take into
account the different stages of formation and development of children
and young people, and it is influenced by a distorted individualistic
concept of freedom, in an ambience lacking the basic values of life,
human love and the family.
Then the school, making itself
available to carry out programmes of sex education, has often done this
by taking the place of the family and, most of the time, with the aim
of only providing information. Sometimes this really leads to the
deformation of consciences. In many cases parents have given up their
duty in this field or agreed to delegate it to others, because of the
difficulty and their own lack of preparation.

Report
to the Joint Committee on the Constitutional Amendment on Children - An
analysis by the National Mens Council of Ireland February 2008
There is copious evidence to show that in seeking our authorisation of
these new provisions, which appear to entitle them to interfere with
the Married Family rather than to protect children, the state are
merely asking us now to legitimise, retrospectively, what they have
been wrongfully doing for a long number of years.
Our recommendation to the Oireachtas Committee, in the light of our
analysis, would be to dispense with the existing text in its entirety
to be replaced by a new article which will actually protect the rights
of children by strengthening and assisting, in a practical way, parents
to perform their duties in conformity with the Family Subsidiarity
Principle.
The evidence unearthed by the National Men's Council and supported by
other groups, many of whom made submissions to the All-Party Oireachtas
Committee on the Constitution, clearly demonstrates that the State has
failed to provide for children born outside the Married Family.
In the allocation of responsibility for children's protection it is
established that within the Married Family the parents hold that duty
exclusively whereas for children born outside of the family the
protection of children is a duty shared in partnership between the
parent(s) and the state. It is vitally important therefore that every
citizen is aware of their parental rights in each circumstance in
relation to the State.
The State has failed to honour its existing guarantee and pledge in the
Constitution to protect the Family and so is failing to protect the
welfare of all the Nation's children.

Legal Argument by the Alliance Defense Fund against the EU resolution to
mandate Abortion and Same-sex Marriage in Ireland and all member states
The Alliance Defense Fund [ADF] is an international legal alliance
dedicated to the protection of fundamental human rights, specifically
the right to life, protection of the traditional family and religious
freedoms.
Several recommendations proffered in the Motion for a European
Parliament Resolution raise issues of the highest concern as they
undermine the right to life, do damage to the institution of the
traditional family, curtail freedom of expression and violate the
principle of subsidiarity mandated by governing Community Treaty Law.
The position of the proposed Resolution actively promotes a liberalized
social policy and erroneously builds its arguments on the supposition
of the binding legality of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and on the
presumptive speculation of the adoption of the Lisbon Treaty by all
Member States, despite the recent referendum to the contrary in Ireland.
For any MEP to vote for this resloution is for them to disrespect the Rule of Law
Marriage & Family in the United Kingdom - AN OVERVIEW
We provide this excellent
document so that readers can see that there are well-organised groups
elsewhere who are able to clearly identify, as we do, the attacks that
are being launched daily against Christianity, Life and the Family
This document has been drawn up by a team of Christian professional and
voluntary workers who are members of the The Maranatha Community, who all have considerable experience of counselling and
social work amongst families in need
The social problems that
inevitably arise from government policies which seek to undermine the
family founded on Marriage are well-documented.
There is no doubt that the
will exists to combat these subversive policies and combined with the
new knowledge that we are able to offer on the legal front the future
looks a lot brighter for those who truly care about society.
*** New Study *** 21 Reasons Why Gender Matters
We live in an age of gender
confusion. Much of this is a result of the deliberate attempt by
various social engineers to convince us that gender is not fixed or
static, but fluid and changeable; that there are not two genders but
many genders; that gender is really a social construct; that gender
roles are interchangeable; that humans are really androgynous; and that
gender is not important in human relationships.
Gender role modelling is also on the decrease, because more and more
children are growing up in households other than the mother-father
household within a Family based on Marriage. The great majority of
single-parent households are where fathers have been systematically
expelled by the unholy alliance of big-business and big-government.
Many children are growing up without a father figure and social policy
has ousted male teachers to create a predominance of female teachers.
In this climate boys lack good male role models and girls lack a Father
to protect them and teach them how to relate to the opposite sex.
Confusion over gender is thus compounded and passed on to future
generations. One of the main examples of gender confusion is what some
are calling gender disorientation pathology. This is the term used to
describe homosexual, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender relationships.
In these and other cases, there is a major distortion or disordering of
the male or female gender, and a confusion of both gender and
sexuality.
This document lays out the case for the importance of male and female
genders, and argues against the new androgyny and the social
engineering taking place in the arena of gender. It examines some of
the evidence that shows men and women are different, including the fact
that our brains are different, our biochemistry is different, our
hormones are different, our strength levels are different, our physical
designs and sizes are different, and therefore our needs for protection
and security are different.
Marriage Breakdown and Unwed Childbearing Costs Billions to Tax-payers
This study documents for the
first time that divorce and unwed childbearing--besides being bad for
children--are also costing taxpayers a ton of money," said David
Blankenhorn, president of the Institute for American Values.
"Even a small improvement in the health of marriage in America would
result in enormous savings to taxpayers," he continued. "For example, a
1 percent reduction in rates of family fragmentation would save
taxpayers $1.1 billion."
"These costs are due to increased taxpayer expenditures for
anti-poverty, criminal justice, and education programs, and through
lower levels of taxes paid by individuals whose adult productivity has
been negatively affected by increased childhood poverty caused by
family fragmentation," said principal investigator Ben Scafidi, Ph.D.,
economics professor at Georgia College & State University. "
Prior research shows that marriage lifts single mothers out of poverty
and therefore reduces the need for costly social benefits," said
Scafidi. "This new report shows that public concern about the decline
of marriage need not be based only on 'moral' concerns, but that
reducing high taxpayer costs of family fragmentation is a legitimate
concern of government, policymakers and legislators, as well as
community reformers and faith communities."
This report now provides the basis for a national consensus that
strengthening marriage is a legitimate and vital policy concern of
government.
Fit for Mission - Schools
A wonderful new report by the
Catholic Bishop of Lancaster in which he lays down the Blueprint that
schools MUST follow if they claim to provide a Catholic ethos. In
particular he asserts that sex education is a basic right of parents,
and must be carried out under their close supervision, whether at home
or in educational centres chosen and controlled by them (The Holy See,
Charter of the Rights of the Family, Article 5 in Benedict XVI,
Families in Christ: Words of encouragement, CTS, 2006.)
Sex education must only be delegated to others with the express
direction of the parents and must be given to each child on an
individual basis within a family context (The Truth and Meaning of
Human Sexuality, 23) Only indirect sex education should occur during
the ‘latency period’ of children, usually from around 5
years to puberty (The Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality, 78). No
material of an erotic nature must be presented either individually or
in a group (The Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality, 126).

Breakdown*
Ireland has in the past had the enviable advantage
of being more than ten years behind the US and UK societies
in succumbing to the social evils of family fracture,
yet neither the government, nor the church nor any leading
NGO has learned a single lesson from this advance warning
and Ireland is now arguably the furthest society down
the road to purgatory.
In the UK the next government will undoubtedly be
the Conservatives. They have at last woken up from their
post Thatcher stupor and have created their Social Justice
Policy Group to direct policy for their term in office.
Their first offering, "Breakdown Britain: Interim
report on the state of the nation" has just been
published and is available in whole or in parts from
the link below.
By so doing the Conservative Party hope to establish
a policy framework, which will support families achieve
what they almost universally desire, a stable, nurturing
and permanent environment to the benefit of its members,
the wider family network, and society as a whole. The
statistics indicate that Marriages are far more likely
to provide a stable environment for adults and children
than cohabitation and are more resilient when the family
is facing a crisis or stressful life event such as child-bearing
and the best news of all is that, contrary media propaganda,
80% of young people still wish to get married at some
time in the future - and remain with one partner for
life!

Marriage
and the Public Good - Ten Principles
In recent years, marriage has weakened, with serious
negative consequences for society as a whole. Four developments
are especially troubling: divorce, illegitimacy, cohabitation,
and same-sex marriage.
The purpose of this document is to make a substantial
new contribution to the public debate over marriage.
Too often, the rational case for marriage is not made
at all or not made very well. As scholars, we are persuaded
that the case for marriage can be made and won at the
level of reason. Marriage protects children, men and
women, and the common good. The health of marriage is
particularly important in a free society, which depends
upon citizens to govern their private lives and rear
their children responsibly, so as to limit the scope,
size, and power of the state. The nation's retreat from
marriage has been particularly consequential for our
society's most vulnerable communities: minorities and
the poor pay a disproportionately heavy price when marriage
declines in their communities. Marriage also offers
men and women as spouses a good they can have in no
other way: a mutual and complete giving of the self.
Thus, marriage understood as the enduring union of husband
and wife is both a good in itself and also advances
the public interest.
We affirm the following ten principles that summarize
the value of marriage- a choice that most people want
to make, and that society should endorse and support.

as Passed - Guardianship of Infants Act, 1964]
"If we can not know whether the courts are applying
the law as passed by our legislators without editing
or interference from another source our sovereignty
is violated and every Act is now questionable as to
its veracity. It also raises the huge question as to
what subversive group has edited the legislation before
it was published by the government stationery office".
In this instance where it applies to the Guardianship
of Infants Act, 1964 it means that Constitutional protections
given to parents very likely have been violated by the
courts for the past forty years through implementation
of incorrect text.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions how we can
get an actual copy of the Guardianship of Infants Act,
1964 as actually passed by the Oireachtas and signed
by the President from the office of the Registrar of
the Supreme Court, as the enrolled text which are by
Constitutional mandate held there are the only "conclusive
evidence of the provisions of such law" then please

Why
Wives File for Divorce
A report published in America, "These
Boots Are Made for Walking:" Why Wives File for
Divorce" by Margaret F. Brinig and Douglas W. Allen
shows that the over-riding reason why a parent initiates
a separation or divorce is driven by self-interest.
This confronts the myth that is widespread - no doubt
to cover the embarrassment of women who are the applicant
in 95% of cases where there are children in the marriage
- that the application is made because of their concerns
for the welfare of the children.
Applications for custody, separation and divorce
come under "private" family law, ie they are
civil actions brought by one parent against their spouse
specifically to obtain some money or property from them.
In private family law, which accounts for 99% of
all family law, the study found that individuals apply
to the courts for separation or divorce when they have
a high expectation of obtaining custody of the children
and the lion's share of the family's assets through
the exploitation of their spouse.

THE "GUARANTEES" TO THE LISBON TREATY ARE A SCAM
The National Mens Council of Ireland are, like many people, very concerned by the proposed amendment to the Constitution.
Whilst it is being
touted as a vote for or against the Lisbon Treaty it is in fact a vote
to surrender the sovreignty of the Irish people to an unelected body of
the Council Of ministers over which the Irish people will have NO
CONTROL.
It is a disgrace that
the people are being told by the media and the government that we can
now vote "Yes" because we have "Guarantees" to protect our rights.
The truth is there
is NO reference to any "Guarantees" in the text of the amendment
that we are being asked to vote on in November (view amendment text here) - so in law they can not have ANY EFFECT - and won't until they are added "at the next Treaty - if there ever will be one.
THE REASON THEY ARE NOT MENTIONED HERE IS BECAUSE it would immediately
show that they are a scam. Once we say by this amendment that the EU is
superior to our Constitution, as we are being asked again here, what
use is it to the people of Ireland if, in one, two or three years time
we are allowed to use our Constitution to defend Life and Family and
our Neutrality when the Constitution will then say (if we pass this
amendment) that NOTHING IN OUR CONSTITUTION INVALIDATES ANYTHING IN THE
EU HAVING THE FORCE OF LAW!
This is confirmed by the document (download) published
by the EU titled, "BRUSSELS EUROPEAN COUNCIL 18/19 JUNE 2009 :
PRESIDENCY CONCLUSIONS" which explains - amongst other very interesting
things - that [quote] "SECTION D, FINAL PROVISIONS
"This decision shall take effect on the same date as the Treaty of Lisbon."
The Lisbon treaty can only come into effect "if we vote Yes" and if it is ratified in the future by the Czech Republic and Poland. This means the "GUARANTEES" will not
be in place when we vote on the amendment in November. If they do not
exist at the time of the referendum and they are not mentioned in the
amendment - THEY CAN HAVE NO FORCE IN LAW

"Women," wrote Ramsey Clark in l970, in his celebrated book Crime in
America, "are not a threat to the public." But he also wrote, in
discussing the male juvenile criminals who are a threat to the public,
that "three-fourths came from broken homes." That means mostly
female-headed homes. That means that while the single mothers of these
criminals do not themselves commit crimes and go to prison, the
socialisation they give their children has an extraordinarily high
correlation with the male crime of the next generation. This
socialisation, in fact, is the "root cause of crime" which Clark wrote
his book to explore. He had found the explanation he sought and he
didn't know it. It was concealed by the generation-long time-lag
between cause and effect and by the sex-switch between generations:
like haemophilia, crime is manifested in males but carried and
transmitted by females--or rather by single females.

Trends
in suicide in England and Wales, 1982-96
This article, the first of
two, updates previous analyses of suicides published
in Population Trends. Suicide trends in England and
Wales are analysed by age and sex. Analyses by method
and occupation suggest a link between suicide rates
and easy access to effective means of committing suicide.
Some key points.
Suicide
rates have decreased for all marital status groups,
except the single. The increase between 1982 and 1996
in the suicide rate for men aged 15-44 may be related
to the decline in the proportions that are married.
We also found that the self-inflicted death rate for
men in prison doubled between 1982 and 1997.
